What’s the role?

The Leyland Facility is where the Chicago Town Pizzas started over 30 years ago. We are looking for people to join our state of the art production facility and be part of a hard working team who are proudly making the Dr. Oetker and Chicago Town branded pizzas. Ensuring the smooth running of the production environment, adhering to the high quality standards expected at Dr Oetker.

 

Your Future:

  • Having the ability to demonstrate Dr.Oetker competencies are being effectively demonstrated and embraced across the whole team.
  • Ensuring your team is motivated, capable, well trained and efficient to ensure targets and high standards are achieved.
  • Being responsible for maintaining accurate record keeping related to Staff, monitoring of health and safety through PPE checks, hazard awareness and monitoring best practice.
  • Ongoing monitoring of quality and efficiency standards, rectifying issues where possible and notifying Line Manager of any issues that need escalating.
  • Monitoring of stock levels, material supply and material utilisation using SAP system, if required.
  • Inspecting all areas of work on a daily basis identifying any areas requiring specific attention and act accordingly.
  • Being involved with meeting of applicants and providing constructive feedback during the recruitment process.
  • Ensuring that all new joiners are effectively inducted in to the team and receive initial training plans within the first, four weeks of joining.
  • Always leading the team by example, making sure all the team follows correct PPE and food safety standards at all times.

 

Your Strengths:

 

  • Having a minimum ‘O’ level/GCSE standard or NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in people management or team leading.
  • A minimum of two years team management experience in a production facility, with proven experience of carrying out all aspects of employee management and development.
  • Effective verbal and written communication to employees at all levels and good level of numeracy skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office based software applications
  • Proficient in the use of SAP or similar warehouse management systems if required
  • The ability and confidence to present to large teams of employees, when needed.
