As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial management of our UK Factory and Ireland operations. Working closely with the Management Accountants, you will help deliver accurate monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis, ensuring the business has reliable information to support decision-making.

This is a varied role that offers exposure to manufacturing finance, capital investment, product costing, factory overheads and financial controls. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality financial data, performing reconciliations, analysing variances and supporting continuous improvement in reporting and processes.

  • Support the preparation of the UK manufacturing reporting, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and meaningful.

  • Manage and report on capital expenditure. Prepare and maintain fixed asset records, including asset creation, in-servicing, disposals, and ongoing reconciliation activities.
  • Support product costing activities, including NPD, maintaining and analysing standard costs and assisting with costing reviews and updates

  • Control, reconcile, and monitor trade discounts and related provisions, ensuring accurate accounting and robust financial controls.

About You

  • Accounting Knowledge and Ambition

You'll be studying towards a professional accounting qualification or already have a degree, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and a genuine desire to develop your career in finance.

  • Strong Analytical Skills

You'll enjoy working with data, investigating variances and identifying trends, with the ability to turn information into meaningful financial insights.

  • Systems and Technical Capability

You'll have strong Excel skills and experience working with finance systems. Knowledge of SAP or other integrated business systems would be advantageous.

  • Attention to Detail

You'll take pride in producing accurate, reliable information and maintaining strong financial controls across reporting, reconciliations and accounting processes.

  • Effective Communication

You'll be able to build positive working relationships, communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders and work collaboratively across finance and operational teams.

  • The Right Mindset

We're looking for someone who is curious, proactive and eager to learn, with a positive attitude, strong organisational skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. You'll enjoy taking ownership of your work and contributing as part of a collaborative team.
