Export & QA Document Coordinator

 

Dr. Oetker is a state-of-the-art Pizza Production Facility in London, Ontario. With our Head Quarters in Germany, and operations in over 40 countries around the world, we are an international company with deep family roots dating back to 1891. Our London facility, which employees about 300 associates, was built in 2014 and showcases modern, highly automated, high volume production lines where we produce Ristorante, Casa di Mama and Giuseppe pizzas under the Dr. Oetker label.

 

In our facility, we start with raw materials such as flour and yeast to make a great pizza crust, topping with sauce and ingredients to make a fantastic, finished pizza and then freezing and packaging the pizzas for retail distribution. The Export & QA Document Coordinator you will work within a team of Quality associates in conjunction with Logistics and Production that produces the highest quality Dr. Oetker pizza where food safety and security are of the utmost importance.

 

This is an onsite role based out of our London Facility, working Monday to Friday. However, flexibility is essential to align with production schedules and business needs.

 

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Specialist within the QA department you will: 

  • Coordinate and monitor the end-to-end export process, including monitoring the production export activities, liaising with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other external service providers.
  • Work closely with Dr. Oetker’s Quality Assurance team and CFIA on all product shipments.
  • Ability to understand and stay up to date on border controls and requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all required international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Accurately review and prepare documents, including export documents from raw material to finished goods.
  • Collaborate with Logistics and Production to determine solutions and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with diverse external partners such as Supply Chain, CFIA, External Warehouses, Global transport and logistics companies and international providers to ensure timelines and requirements for custom clearances are met.
  • Compile and organize production documents for consumer complaints and audit purposes as required.
  • Lead and coordinate our consumer quality complaints with the quality assurance team.
  • Flexibility in hours are required as start and end times may vary based on operational needs.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and sharp attention to detail and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure and competing priorities.
  • Post Secondary Education in a relevant field or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience working in SAP, with export experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Self-starter with the confidence to bring forward issues and propose solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with proven conflict resolution abilities
  • Ability to touch and taste pork, chicken, beef and cheese in a food manufacturing environment.

 

 

The expected base salary range for this position is CAD $48,000 to CAD $53,000 depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget
