Your Future:

• Reporting to the QA Manager, you will work closely with the plant/QA teams to develop and implement quality, food safety and plant regulatory programs
• Lead the internal audit process (GMP, PP and HACCP) to ensure best quality practices are maintained within the operations
• Conduct internal plant audits to support an audit ready GFSI facility
• Respond to consumer quality complaints
• Identify quality and food safety non-conforming trends, identify root causes and support corrective actions
• Lead the employee training program on GMP, quality, security and food safety
• Provide leadership, coaching and education as it relates to the development of our food safety culture
• Provide quality services to all external departments
• Coordinate ingredient specifications with suppliers
• Other quality and food safety projects as required

Your Strengths:

• A university degree or college diploma in Science with at least 3 years’ experience in the food industry
• Strong knowledge of quality and food safety  
• Working knowledge of the Canadian meat regulations is preferred
• Strong analytical skills in MS Excel with the ability to multi-task; experience working with SAP or similar systems are considered an asset
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and leadership skills
• Ability to make informed decisions in a timely manner within a fast-paced environment
• Can work independently as well as in a team environment
• Must be comfortable working with gravy mixes containing meat flavorings
