Job Summary
Join our Product Technology & Quality Team and work inter-departmentally to support manager in driving regulatory compliance across the bakeware & decorating tools (non-Food) portfolio. Reporting to the Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will also oversee execution of customer sustainability reporting, as well as communication of parent company sustainability initiatives into Wilton. 

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review of new products and materials to meet market and customer opportunities via applying scientific methodologies and regulatory landscape review. 
  • Support new product development projects, providing guidance to product development teams on material choice. 
  • Lead sustainability reporting into customer portals; collects customer sustainability requirements and communicates within department.
  • Work closely with parent company to communicate sustainability initiatives into Wilton, and drive tasks-based execution. 
  • Execute testing programs across non-food, including Claims testing, annual testing, customer and commercialization testing programs. 
  • Compile data reports, create data report summaries, and develop corrective actions with manager. 
  • Monitor current and emerging regulations and standards across non-food consumer products and sustainability.

 

Education and Experience

  • B.S. in chemistry or materials science. Degrees in other science/engineering disciplines with relevant experience will be considered.
  • 1-3 years of working experience in CPG regulatory compliance
  • Experience reviewing test data and working directly with testing labs is preferred. 
  • Proficient with MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with regulations and regulatory guidance, including sustainability and Proposition 65.
  • Knowledge of materials development, including chemical structure/property relations.
  • Work independently and within team environment. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with manager and complete them in a timely manner
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
     

Physical Demands

  • Professional office environment, sedentary in nature. 
  • Routinely use standard office equipment such as (laptop computers, monitors/keyboards, printers, and telephones). 
  • Processes information and communicate effectively with others.
