Do you have a passion for excellence and a desire to ensure the highest standards in products and processes? Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development & Innovation, the Quality Manager will lead quality assurance across our Food and non-Food portfolios. You will work intra-departmentally with Regulatory Compliance and Innovation/Product Development, and cross-functionally with Sourcing, Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, CBU/Marketing, driving continuous improvements to uphold superior product & manufacturing standards. Responsibilities will also include oversight of quality programs at our Distribution Center located in Romeoville.
Ingredients
- Manage the technical quality relationship between Wilton and manufacturing suppliers while driving compliance and performance.
- Work closely with Sourcing, New Product Development (NPD), Regulatory, and cross-functional teams to drive supplier quality improvement and onboard new suppliers and manufacturers within TraceGains.
- Prioritize based on risk and develop a calendar for Quality & Food Safety audits and virtual assessments of supplier sites.
- Manage and update all supplier and material documentation including annual reviews.
- Investigate non-conformances and drive effective CAPAs for all supplier related incidents.
- Develop and manage supplier-related metrics and internal and external reporting.
- Support the continued development of Quality and Food Safety standards and guidance documents.
- Provide oversight to warehouse quality programs, including but not limited to: GMPs, quality inspections, regulatory inspections, and hold and release programs.
- Primary point of contact for QA related DC inspections (i.e. Kosher, FDA) .
- Work closely with warehouse operations to address quality concerns, resolve issues, and improve overall warehouse operations.
- Manage trending of customer feedback/complaints and drive timely actions to drive product quality improvement.
Equipment
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years related experience required.
- Quality Management experience in the consumer products goods industry, preferably working with food products.
- Proven track record of driving product quality improvements within manufacturing environments and or manufacturing partners.
Instructions
- Detailed understanding of World Class Quality Management principles and their application.
- Proven knowledge of ISO Quality, GFSI, and FSMA, Food Safety/HACCP.
- High proficiency in MS office, specifically excel, along with strong analytical capabilities.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with demonstrated analytical and problem solving capabilities.
- Effective change management and control skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to develop & maintain relationships while collaborating cross-functionally within areas of the business.
- Demonstration of growth mindset by embracing the qualities of agility, curiosity, accountability, and innovation consistent with Wilton’s Culture Recipe.
Baking Conditions
Professional office environment, sedentary in nature.
Routinely use standard office equipment such as (laptop computers, monitors/keyboards, printers, and telephones).
