Do you have a passion for problem-solving, are detail-oriented by nature, and motivated to contribute to impactful business outcomes? Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant is responsible for general ledger accounting including the monthly and annual closing processes, journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations, while providing oversight & direction for accounting transactions and processes. In this critical role, you will be responsible for monthly accounting and reporting of fixed assets, inventory, cost of sales, other direct product costs, and variances. You will have the opportunity to engage with the broader finance team and work cross-functionally with other departments including Inventory Forecasting, Corporate Supply Chain, and the Operating Divisions.
Ingredients
- Assist in accurate and timely preparation of month end and year-end close processes including half year and year-end closing for parent company.
- General ledger management including preparing journal entries, reconciling, and analyzing balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and corresponding journal entries.
- Manage the entire fixed asset lifecycle, from acquisition and capitalization to disposal. This includes maintaining accurate and detailed fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules and asset listings.
- Prepare analysis and management reports related to inventory, material price variance, freight variances, production variances, and various other direct product costs.
- Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare interim and annual PBC audit requests.
- Ad hoc analysis and special accounting projects.
Equipment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 5+ years of General Accounting or Cost Accounting experience.
- Proficient in SAP.
Instructions
- Solid understanding of preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- High proficiency in MS office, specifically Excel, along with strong analytical capabilities.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet various deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to develop & maintain relationships while collaborating cross-functionally within areas of the business.

- Professional office environment, sedentary in nature.
